This years Pennfest is shaping up to be one of the best ever! The seven person planning committee has been hard at work since the beginning of the year putting together a great festival for 2024. So far over 165 vendors have signed up to participate including 18 businesses, 45 craft vendors, 50 non profit groups and 23 food trucks! The food trucks will be set up in two locations this year; one near 63rd Street and the other between 67th and 68th Streets. Notable food choices include Anchor Fish and Chips, Soul to Soul Barbeque, Muddy Tiger Indian Bistro, Twin Cities Pita, Egg Roll Queen, Cheeky Chicks and State Fair Cookie Co.
The high flying BMX bike show will return again. This year they will be sponsored by Karl Herman and Cassie Sanetra, Richfield State Farm agents. Several musical acts are scheduled to perform throughout the day at the Richfield Liquor store stage. Acts include Atomic Beat, Ecuador Manta, and others.
The pet zone will feature several animal rescue businesses, a goat petting zoo and a chance to have your picture taken with two lovable llamas, “Dill” and “Pickle”! A newly created art zone will make it’s debut this year thanks to a grant provided by “Visit Richfield”. It will be located near the fire station.
Pennfest runs from 1:00 - 5:00pm Sunday, September 15 between Crosstown and 71st Street.
